Joey’s BBQ Serves Authentic, Texas-Style Fare

The beginnings of Joey’s BBQ started as the brainchild of Luria and Ray Moors years ago when they moved from Houston, Texas to Southern California in the 1970′s. Luria had already been experimenting with her own BBQ recipes in her home kitchen for years, and when she saw a for sale sign on a building in Chino she took it as a great opportunity to follow her dream of opening her own restaurant.

Shortly thereafter, Joey’s BBQ opened and the dining venue has been offering authentic Texas BBQ recipes that incorporate the inventiveness of Luria’s home kitchen recipes ever since. The restaurant is still family owned and operated to this day and their popularity has resulted in the opening of two more locations.

The menu at Joey’s BBQ is sizable. Some popular appetizers include their Shrip-K-Bob, Joey’s Pork Wild Wings, Fried Ripe Plantain & Fried Cheese, and the Riblets in Adobo Seasoning. Meanwhile, their salad options are great choices for those looking to eat lighter. The menu also includes delicious burgers, such as their original Texican Burger that is topped with homemade chili and cheese and served with two selections from: potato salad, BBQ beans, cole slaw, corn cobbette, french fries, yam fries, or homemade potato chips.

One favorite combo option is their Pork-A-Rama Sandwich which is comprised of homemade sausage links on a 10 inch French roll, covered with pulled pork, and then smothered in homemade BBQ sauce. Other popular choices include their Bar-B-Q Pork Ribs, Filet Mignon, Tri Tip Steak, Chicken & Ribs, and the Sliced Bar-B-Q Sandwich. If you manage to save room for desert, Joey’s BBQ has fantastic Original and Apple Caramel Bread Pudding, Peach Cobbler, and a Chocolate Brownie with chocolate chip vanilla ice cream as great options.
