Yoga-at-The-Shoppes-Living-In-Chino-Hills

Summer is around the corner and what a better way to get fit than joining us at The Shoppes in Chino Hills.  Classes will be held behind RA Sushi on the days listed below. No need to be a yoga expert to join. My friends and I have minimal yoga experience, but we enjoy strength training so we are going to be attending the Tuesday class. I, Jeannette Arias, will then update this blog and post about our experience.

We will be wearing our Living In Chino Hills shirts so if you see us make sure to say HI 🙂

Tuesdays, 7:30am – 8:30am

Thursdays, 7:30am – 8:30am

Saturdays,  9:00am -10:00am

Class started promptly at 7:30am and I have to say it was a great workout. It was challenging but not too tough considering I’m a beginner. It was not my first time doing yoga but it has been a few years since I last attended a session. It was a great reminder of why I used to love it and can’t wait to make this part of my weekly regime. I wasn’t sure what to expect though I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the awesome instruction.

Jessica was the instructor on Tuesday and she was extremely knowledgeable in all things yoga. She was also motivating through some of the more strenuous poses, reminding us “you did not wake up this early for nothing.” I LOVED that! I learned that I’ve been doing one of the techniques called “the upward facing dog” incorrectly and it could be damaging for my back so I am grateful that Jessica corrected my form.

I would encourage everyone to attend this class at least once. Like the instructor said today “Yoga is the practice of breathing and stretching. How can you fear breathing and stretching?” We do these things regularly but in the moment of yoga, you really focus on “how” you do these things.

I actually went today (Thursday) on my own and I had a new instructor who was equally as great as Jessica. The instructors really love teaching yoga and it shows.
