Tips for Chino Hills Children to Play Safe

We care about your child’s safety, and that’s why we should all make sure that they know some simple safety rules for when they are playing outside. Read these quick tips and then pass them along to your kids.

– Cross the street at crosswalks only. Do not cross in the middle of the street or between parked cars. If there isn’t a crosswalk, be sure to cross at a corner.

– Be aware of vehicles that are making right turns. Before stepping off of the curb, make sure there is not a car behind you about to turn directly into your path.

– Remember that large trucks take longer to stop. Sometimes up to 40% longer. It’s always smart to let trucks pass you before crossing the street.

– Make sure your child always wears a bicycle helmet, knows how to read street signs, uses the correct hand signals, and understands which land to ride in when on their bike.
