THE SHRI SWAMINARAYAN MANDIR IN CHINO HILLS

The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills is truly something to behold. It is the first earthquake proof Hindu Temple in the world and is riddled with the incredibly intricate stylings of the Hindu Mandir tradition. The complex includes a stunning 91 foot lotus shaped pond as well as a cultural center, gymnasium and classrooms. The Mandir uses a state-of-the-art solar power system which is expected to reduce 1,556 tons of CO2 emissions, which is the equivalent of planting 62,244 trees, over a 25-year period.

Dress Code:

All clothing must cover shoulders and knees. (Wraps provided) Please leave all personal belongings/backpacks inside your vehicle.

Shoes:

Please remove any footwear before entering any of the buildings on the Mandir premises. (Shoe racks provided within the complex).

Photography & Videography:

Handheld photography, for personal use only, may be taken from ground level outside the Mandir. Commercial use or publication of images or video of the premises is strictly prohibited. Tripods or professional photography is not permitted.

Food & Drink:

Please refrain from eating, drinking or chewing gum inside the Mandir, Visitor Center (Haveli), and Cultural Center (Sabha Hall). Outside food or drinks are not permitted on the premises.

Mobile Phones:

Cell phones must be switched off while inside the Mandir.
