Chino Hills: Are You Following The Water Conservation Laws?

Hopefully you are aware of the widespread drought conditions that threaten Southern California and other parts of the Southwestern United States. Remember: Just because it rained a few times doesn’t mean everything is fine! Read on to see what the current regulations are in Chino Hills.

Outdoor Watering Days

Residents and businesses are limited to 2 watering days per week that cannot exceed 15 minutes per watering station. The exception is for drip and micro-spray irrigation systems which cannot exceed 30 minutes per station. Watering is not allowed from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and you can be cited for violating the laws.

Designated Watering Days

Those with addresses ending in an even number may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Residents with addresses ending in odd numbers may water on Thursdays and Sundays.

Commercial addresses can water on Tuesdays and Fridays.

And if the drought itself doesn’t motivate you to be a part of the solution, then maybe this will:

The State Water Resources Control Board (WRCB) adopted emergency regulations on May 26th, 2015 stating that if Chino Hills doesn’t reduce its water usage by 28% or more – the city could be fined $10,000 per day. Let’s work together to help curb this drought situation!
